   The idea behind Forusdocs was formed after a conversation with a colleague who had done objective testing of six different stethoscopes using acoustic laboratory measurements  during his cardiology fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic.  It was an excellent study, but he had a hard time publishing this data. No medical journal wanted to offend equipment manufacturers who might advertise in their journals. No forum for objective reviews for physicians existed. This study was ultimately published in an acoustic journal, a venue that few physicians would see. (Abella M, Formolo J, Penney DG. Comparison of the acoustic properties of six popular stethoscopes.    ForUsDocs was formed to meet this need for objective information, independent of drug company, equipment manufacturer, or software vendor bias.  We are the consumer magazine for physicians, by physicians. We provide independent unbiased reviews of the products and services a physician uses in his daily practice.  We are owned and operated by practicing physicians such as you. Our goal is to make your life easier by providing you with unbiased information that will save you time, effort, and money.

Our Code of Ethics

In order to keep our information honest we don't accept financial support from drug companies, equipment manufacturers, or services we review. We don't sell your personal information. To help defray the costs of this site we do place advertising links from reputable vendors such as Amazon. If you have a bad experience problem with a vendor or product advertised on this site let us know.

Our Membership

All healthcare workers have associate membership and are welcome to visit this site. Full membership is open to all physicians MD or DO, or podiatrists licensed in the USA and Canada. Full membership is also open to all MD, DO, or DPM students of accredited programs. Only full members can vote or view full size medical images.

We welcome visits from nurses, pharmacists, dentists, physicians assistants, techs, therapists, and all of our coworkers in the healthcare field. Times are tough and we all need to share information and tips if we are to survive and prosper.
